The Inevitable
Future of the
Game.
An exciting transcendent version of baseball — built to disrupt and ignite a generation of new strategies, new skill-sets, and millions of new fans.
Forever, in baseball, running the bases counterclockwise has been an arbitrary rule — a relic of 19th-century "town ball" logic. 2WB's re-set is the first major evolution of that geometry in nearly two centuries.
Five beats.
One flipping game.
Every inning follows the same rhythm. The defense resets, the batter commits, and the entire field runs the same direction until the bases empty again.
The inning starts. The Current Running Direction (CRD™) is reset.
The pitcher delivers. The defense holds standard alignment.
On contact (or walk / HBP), the batter commits to LB or RB — that's the BCD™.
Every following batter & runner runs the same direction.
BCD™ resets. The next batter chooses anew. The chess match restarts.
The defense resets.
The batter chooses.
The chess match begins.
The simulation alternates between Left Base and Right Base each loop — so you can see the field flip in real time. Use the toggle at the top of the simulation to lock either direction.
- SetupBases empty. CRD™ resets.
- PitchPitcher delivers; defense holds.
- Crack of the batBCD™ is committed.
- CRD™ locksEvery runner that follows runs the same way.
- ResetBases empty → next batter chooses again.
Baseball in 2030.
2Way Baseball® (2WB™) is an exciting transcendent version of baseball — built to disrupt and ignite a generation of new strategies, new skill-sets, and millions of new young fans. Built around the BCD™ (Batter's Chosen Direction) and CRD™ (Current Running Direction) mechanics.
Edge-of-the-seat
A new live-action moment at the start of every inning — the Batter's Chosen Direction resets the field and rewrites the strategy.
New names. New skills.
New positions and new skill demands for hitters, fielders, and base coaches — without breaking the fundamentals fans love.
From video-game to MLB.
Showcase in a video-game first. Refine in experimental leagues. Then deliver MLB's next turbo-boost.
New names for 1st & 3rd base.
The Batter's Chosen Direction.
At the start of each inning — or anytime the bases are empty — at the crack of the bat (or on a walk or HBP), the batter chooses to run to either Right Base or Left Base.
The runner's commitment when the bases are empty.
Once set, the CRD™ holds for every batter and runner that follows — until the bases empty again.
New names for the basemen.
All other positions remain the same.
Maximizing players' skills.
RB & LB become hybrid roles
The Right Baseman and Left Baseman now require the skills of both former corners — depending on the Current Running Direction.
A glove built for both directions
Glove designs for RB and LB will morph into a combination of the former 1st-base and 3rd-base gloves.
SS & 2B turn the DP both ways
Shortstop and Second Baseman now need to turn the double play in either direction. 2B needs a stronger arm to throw across to Left Base.
New strategy abounds.
Throws to RB or LB on rounders.
Left and Right Fielders now execute throws routinely to either Right Base or Left Base when runners are rounding 2nd.
Outfielder throws to 2nd base and home remain the same. Pitcher and Catcher skills and execution remain generally the same.
A new strategic surface area for managers and coaches.
- Defensive Shifts
- Pinch Hitting
- Base-Coach Skills
All positions & bases — flipped on demand.

Following the NBA & NFL playbook.

MLB's great athletes get to demonstrate new and exciting skills while the basic fundamentals of the game stay intact for purists and millions of new fans alike.
Position-less basketball.
The modern center can shoot threes, switch screens, run point.
Hybrid skill players.
RBs split out, TEs slot, LBs cover. Versatility = audience.
2WB unlocks the same shift.
Without breaking the fundamentals fans already love.

45 more edge-of-the-seat moments*. Every game.
